We expect everyone to act maturely, behave responsibly, and respect the rights and dignity of others.

The following actions are considered inappropriate and may result in suspension or termination of membership or program privileges:

  • The YMCA is a tobacco-free environment, including vaping
  • Possession or use of alcohol or illegal substances on YMCA property, or appearing to be under the influence
  • Carrying or concealing weapons or objects that may be used as weapons
  • Harassment or intimidation through words, gestures, or behavior
  • Physical contact in an aggressive, angry, or threatening manner
  • Verbally abusive behavior, including swearing, name-calling, or shouting
  • Sexually explicit conversation, behavior, or contact
  • Inappropriate or revealing attire
  • Theft, vandalism, or destruction of property
  • Unauthorized entry, loitering, or misuse of YMCA spaces
  • Taking photos or recordings of others without permission

Members and guests are encouraged to take responsibility for their own comfort and safety. If behavior from another person feels unsafe or inappropriate, it should be reported to YMCA staff.

The YMCA reserves the right to deny access or revoke membership for individuals who violate conduct standards or pose a safety risk to others.

Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership privileges.
